BVMjets.com Plug-And-Play Jets!

Defender of the Noob!
Just getting started posting photos from Florida Jetweek 2016. BVM Jets caught my attention with their line of Plug-n-Play fueled turbine jet aircraft. They're somewhere between an ARF and a RTF kit with a lot of the complex systems already installed in an airframe that is physically complete for the most part.

The Plug-n-Play line of aircraft takes a lot of the tech work out of the build and will save you a lot of time as well. From BVM's F-16 product page;
The world of “Plug and Play” has officially met the world of turbine jets. Now you can literally assemble your jet in a few hours. Our team has taken the guesswork out of properly installing, rigging, labeling, and plumbing the complex controls, pneumatic, and fuel systems. Once you open the box, the simple tasks of joining the front and rear fuse, connecting clearly labeled air lines, routing servo wires to your receiver, and finally mounting your turbine, can be accomplished with minimum time and facilities.

Included and Installed Accessories:

Servos, Extensions, Gear Valve, Door Valve, Brake Valve, Sequencer w/ Low pressure failsafe, Navigation and Landing Lights, Light Controller, Fuel tanks, Smoke tanks, Smoke pump, BVM Air fill Valve, BVM Air Gauge, Air tanks, Scale Landing Gear, Wheels and Brakes, Cockpit, Tailpipe, and Bypass.

Super Jets South - Best Military

12 O'Clock High - Special Recognition
Tiger Meet Jet Rally - Best Military Performance

New News: The Tiger Meet in Scranton, South Carolina was well attended. The YAK's sturdy landing gear performed well on the grassfield.
Wingspan: 79"
Length: 94"
Weight: 34# ready for fuel
Engine: 140-160 Newtons

There have been 3 prototype models built and flown. They were flown and displayed at Kentucky Jets, Super Jets South, and 12 O'Clock High. The YAK-130 won prestigious scale and flying awards at all three events. The BVM staff has worked closely with representatives of the factory staff to bring to market a product worthy of the BVM brand name.

About 150+ successful flights have been accomplished allowing us to evaluate the engine installation, fuel system, pneumatic systems, landing gear and door systems, control travels, center of gravity, gyro application, etc.

A typical BVM manual has been prepared to allow you to apply 12-15 hours of hobby time to prepare the YAK-130 for flight. The price of the YAK-130 is $7,950.00. You add radio receiver, batteries, BVM U.A.T., pilot, and a 140 class engine.

The Plug and Play features of the YAK are very similar to the BVM F-16 and Cougar.

A Factory installed smoke system and very scale landing gear and doors are included. The BVM manual allows most jet guys to get it flight ready in a few days of modeling time.

Price $7,950.00
plus actual DHL delivery costs to your door (approx. $700.00)

Frankie Mirandes and son Ricardo came to Orlando for a few days of recreational jet flying (October 2015). Frankie got a ride on Greg Arnette's YAK-130 and Ricardo was practicing for Red Flag with his BVM Electra on EVF 12S "9er" power. The flying skills and love of jets runs in the family.

You can call Patty or Heather at 407-327-6333 and help us get your YAK-130 ownership underway.

Note: David Ribbe of Flex Innovations.com has a new Aura Gyro that can be factory set for your YAK-130. Thus far, the YAK has been flown with the Aura and the Cortex Demon Gyros. BVM first flies and trims the model with no gyro assist. Then, of course, your flight presentation can be enhanced with a properly set-up gyro of your choice.

While at the event I also spent some time with Boli Muentes who showed me his BVMjets.com PNP F-16 in the US Thunderbirds scheme. He was competing in the Scale category at Red Flag with it this week so even though it's basically an advanced ARF product, they fly well enough for an owner to bring it at a formal contest!

The construction of this jet is very light and clean. The servos installed in your F-16 are metal geared, high-voltage, brushless servos. They feature excellent torque and holding power with very low dead-band. Analysis of the aircraft design and hundreds of flights from rough grass and smooth runways by the BVM team, has shown that this will be many jet guy's new weekend “fun” machine. We are certainly enjoying ours.

Even though it's a PNP jet, BVM prepared a 47 page manual that covers every task from "Box to Flight Ready" that guarantees your success with this true-to-scale replica of a modern jet fighter.

Specs:

Patty, Bob, Dustin:

The new F16 arrived safe and sound on Monday - all of the components were unpacked, inspected and were found to be in perfect condition. I admit to being a bit concerned about the possibility of shipping damage. However, the care in the way BVM prepared the components and especially the use of the plywood sheets to reinforce the container showed an extraordinary amount of preparation. It would take alot of effort to damage this container and its contents.

By the way, the fit, finish and completeness of the F16 is phenomenal.

An in depth, six page article by Sean McHale fully describes BVM's entry into the PNP Jet Market.

If you have an interest in an F-16, Sean's article will certainly reinforce your decision to buy the BVM Falcon.

Sean McHale does it again!

Another glowing article about
BVM's F-16 PNP.

This time it is a 4 page feature article in the November 2014 issue of Model Airplane News.

Sean's enthusiasm for this recent BVM offering must be contagious. His articles have served to reinforce numerous jet buyers' confidence in the product and the company that sells and supports it. Sean offers a few techniques that serve to enhance the 47 page assembly and operations manual that BVM supplies.

I watched Dave Ribbe fly his last weekend. SPECTACULAR. I want one too. :)
Spectacular is a good word for it! My earliest exposure to RC jets was back around 1986 when a guy had a Byron Mig 15 that used the runway, the grass before the runway, and some of the grass at the end of the runway to get off the ground (when it did get off the ground). Jets today are NOTHING like that! The performance is unbelievable but the landing gear is over the top in terms of functionality, scale detail...i took a lot of photos of scale landing gear!

A few days ago, 1 of the jet guys at our field maidened and flew the f-16 thunderbird scheme as shown above at our field. Its very very very nice and pretty and flies good out of the box...made me want to get my jet back up and running...

The early Byron airplanes were eclipsed when BVM came out with his first airplanes, the Sport Shark and the Aggressor.

This is an early Sport Shark built by my flying buddy Tony, and painted by me. The picture sucks since it's a scan of a Polaroid. It was powered by a K&B 72 and took off of our 300 foot grass field pretty well. I can't remember the exact year, but I want to say 1987, waaaaaaaay before AFR jets. It was the first airplane I had seen that used carbon fiber parts in the construction.
