Ok thanks so much! I'm ordering a new tank tonight. In the meantime, do you think silicon sealant around the cap would work?
Silicone isn't usually gas compatible I believe.

Growing up my Dad used "seal-all" to fix everything. Too funny to see that stuff here. The smell reminds me of my childhood (So thats whats wrong with me! :veryshocked. LOL! Don't forget to look for pinholes in the fuel lines too. That has got me before.You don't have to order a new tank if it is leaking from the cap or the fittings. Just go to your local auto parts store and get a tube of "Seal-All". Remove you cap and smear some on the seal and threads then put your cap back on. Bingo! Its fixed. Might have to get this seal all just in case, looks pretty useful.
