Would it be as much fun if there wasnt bugs to work out, Jim?? :)

This Dalton has come a long way in a short time frame. *pun* This ole girl just needs paint to be show quality again.

Got the 157 AIS off and sold. Installing the 3W/JLE 164 on it currently. It is mounted. Just need a throttle arm and throttle set up. Now just to come up with another spinner... Buyer of the 157 wanted prop and spinner included. So, money talked!

Im amped to run this 164. I cant wait to try a 30x13 on it!! The engine may rip the snot out of that prop! Id be happy!

Seen a few 30-14 Falcon props at the Worlds. If the 30-13 rips, try a 30-14. I don't need it with canns but If I put tunned pipes on my 170 I'll go with thew 30-14. Lots of pull and Quiet. Great IMAC prop. No idea how it would do 3D.

Not looking.for it to rup, but if it does, it would be a bonus, Tom. Just on regular ole stock exhaust. Nothing fancy. But I had thought about KS 1090 pipes for it........

What is this 3W/JLF 164 of which you speak?

Taken from the first post.........

Background on the swap to the 164......

I had a piston pin failure in 2012 with the original 157CSTS on this airframe. Flew it for a couple of months on a DA150. Then I bought a 3W QS150, which woke the beast back up! I scrounged around and found a cylinder set for the 170, classic single spark. I kept things around and covered up. I got ahold of Joe Lewis here in Ohio. Told him what I wanted to do. He said "sounds like fun"! 2 weeks later, I got a text message with a video in it from Joe. Not sure what prop he used, but it rapped up like no tomorrow! I was impressed, to say the least!! But Joe had to machine off .010" or 1mm off the bottom of the cylinders, so that the exhaust port timing would be the same as the 157.
