Hello,
I am informing all the followers that the maiden flight of Extra was successful. You can visit my FB page and see the video of take-off and landing.
The flight of the model in my eyes resembles more the flight of the real aircraft, than the flight of the big-scale model, the reason for this is also the sound of the propulsion system. Extra tracks really nice and the stability is awesome. I didnt try aerobatic maneuvers on the maiden flight and I am looking forward to this with a great expectations.
Now it starts the second phase of this project - optimization of the setup, especially of the motor system and propeller. I wish that the Extra will be able to execute all the 3D maneuvers with great authority. I realize that there is still a lot of work to do to accomplish difficult goal.
Professionally edited HD video of the maiden flight will be uploaded to YouTube in few days.
