IMAC Delro Raven 3.1M build

I flew one of Vogelsang's 3.1m ravens a few weeks ago. I put 6 flights on it to really see how it worked with setup. I was very impressed. They are the premier kit on the market, and can be ordered a few different ways. This is right with my Dalton as far as flight characteristics. In fact I'll be flying one along with my dalton next year.



They have two in stock that are completely done by Delro, full ARF, just drop your radio gear in and go.



They also have their props in stock with are the best props I've ever flown... And I've used a lot over the years. Their 3 blades pull like 2 blades... Insane.



They have a bunch of sizes in stock. In know they have the 28x12.5 3 blade, 30x12.5 & 32x12.5 two blades. I believe they also have 27x12.5 and 28x12.5 two blades.



I'm running the 30x12.5 two blade on my 3.1m h9 sukhoi with a DA150 on pipes. The power over the Mejzlik 30x12 is really much better... Speed on up lines was tremendously better.



I'm running the 32x12.5 on my Dalton Extra 300 ML, with DA200. Really great speed control... Very consistent, and beaks much better vs the Mejzlik 32x12. I'll be running this prop in the IMAC worlds.

I want to thank MattyMatt for all the info he provided on the thread and for helping me decide to pull the trigger on this kit. I'm extremely impressed with quality, completeness, and included accessories. I wasn't ready to tackle a box of sticks but wanted to do some building so this was a nice compromise to get my feet wet. Even though I didn't buy the kit from Volgelsang they have gone out of their way to be very helpful and I look forward to doing more business with them.

All the LE & TE of this kit are shaped except for the wing TE.

Wheres the US supllier for delro props? Im about to order the mezjlic 32x10 LF for a da150L on pipes and thinking delro now. I have a delro 3 blade on the comp arf and its super quiet.

I figured vogelsang aeroscale was the gettin place but I don't see them on their website. MattyMatt will know. I will be interested in what you decide and the results since that is the power setup I'm looking at.

I marked off my TE for shaping. Been working on it should have finished pics today.

The hinge line will be 30/70.

I got the servo boxes put in. Used gorilla glue then sanded flush.

Finished the TE of one wing. I made some guidelines and used a plane and then sanded for what felt like days to get the angles right and where I couldn't see any daylight when I put the aileron in place. So the peak is 30% from the top to match the aileron LE.
