EF 48" Laser EXP

I got my 48" yellow Laser yesterday but am fighting a bit of an infection and didn't feel much like working on it. I did build up the LG, oil the hatch latch and get it working smoothly, decal the SFGs, and generally unpacked everything. After that I was spent and didn't want to mess with it.

I'm feeling much better today and plan to knock as much of it out as I can...at least enough to get some photographs. We've got some nasty weather coming tomorrow so there's no need to rush other than to get some photos and strike while the iron is hot.

I've got a new set of MXS racing wing tips in the blue that matches the Laser. I tried those on the plane and they look really great, so I'll fly those for awhile. The tips lock the plane in really good, but they also tame a lot of the plane's snapping and tumbling ability. It's sort of a trade off to get stability in in exchange for agility, but they look really cool and I'm going to tinker with them for a while.

Seven hours, fifteen minutes.

Disclaimer: I recovered the SFGs in yellow (instead of blue) and used some vinyl decals I had made up for, but left over from my Yak.

In one of my clubs the sun is right n your face, so the dark SFGs would have been real hard to see, and might have even made things worse. The yellow is much more visible.

Looks great Doc! That yellow is very bright and beautiful in the air.

I'm still waiting on weather to shoot video of my Laser. I've had it flying for months, but haven't put a dozen flights on it yet. It's either snowing or blowing out here right now.
