Extra / Slick / MSXR - Differences????

I am shopping for a new 30 / 50 CC airframe. I have narrowed down the search to a few different Extreme Flight planes and Redwing RC.

Does anyone care to comment on the differences in the Redwing planes? I know some have flown 2 or 3 different models.

I am looking for a plane that will do precision and 3D with a slight edge towards precision.

My favorite plane I'm currently flying in an EF Extra 60" Electric. The plane does everything well!

Of course I'm slightly biased as a Redwing Pilot, however I've flown their 50cc Extra, and 30cc MXSR, and can speak somewhat intelligently about their Slicks. (Which I have on order!)

So...

My favorite thus far is their big Extra. I have the 30cc also but it's still in the box, as I'm hoping to start building next week. It has the nice, tight lines that an Extra gives, and it's big, oversized controls also allow for some fun on 3D rates. This plane would be a nice fit that allows for fun, stable 3D and can still be precise.

Their MXS is a real hybrid style plane if you ask me. It's strong points are the awesome roll rate, clean snaps, and great lines. It does do 3D, but takes a little bit more work than an Extra or Slick to be smooth.

Their Slick is a born for 3D plane. Thick and tall fuse, big tail surfaces, and an airfoil made for 3D, then built light so you can throw it around. Perfect for low, slow, graceful 3D.

Thanks it does help . I'm tore between the Slick and Extra. I wish there were more videos of the Extra available. The slick is a proven airframe and I love watching the Cardenflyer Slick videos!!

I have no experience with Redwing models being in AU but as for the general frame types my recommendation would be the Extra or MXSR over a Slick for a model that leans more on precision but can also 3D well.

I've flown all 3 types and personally I am an Edge type of guy but if I had the choice of those 3 types and your criteria I would probably go with the Extra.

Imho I would pick the one you love the look of most, all 3 will do what you want (with notes to what GYRO said above) and I find if you enjoy the look of the model you fly it more which leads to more time in the air which in turn leads to quicker advancement in flying

The extra is awesome. Cleaner than the slick and yet more 3d capable. You do need really good servos on those monster ailerons. Everyone who flew mine really liked it. I would say order your extra today and get it by Friday !
