Michael Kranitz, owner of RCFlightDeck, posted the following oniline rebuttal to the FAA statement. Included in his rebuttal are some very good suggestions about changes that could be made in the FAA statement to make it less harmful to the R/C communiity:

I would believe it based on the wording of the comments...very well done, clear and concise, providing specific suggestions for changes in the wording instead of "I don't like this opinion".

I find it to be poorly worded. I think if we can get someone with legal expeience, like Michael, to write up a petition on this website it might make the issue more noticed by legislators, making a "distinction" between sUAS and RC.

thankfully there are already laws that take care of this, and it looks like he is getting punished accordingly.
