Now that the initial shock of being at a jet event is past me, I promise to improve coverage in the future by doing things like actually speaking with and featuring the winner of the contest (yes, I was overwhelmed and failed to even congratulate Jason Shulman for winning the first precision acro jet event in the US ever).

I'm already a jet addict. I still fly some prop planes but rarely go flying if I can't take my jet. I went from "going to try it" to having 3 jets now and shopping for the next. I haven't flown much scale jets but loving sport jets.

I've been addicted to jets since I saw my first Bob Violett jet fly back in the ducted fan days. We were at the Byron event in Ida Grove Iowa back around 86 I believe. I saw a lot of the Byron and Jet Hanger Hobbies jets fly and they were marginal at best. Then I see this jet screaming down the runway and take off with authority. After that I always had a love for them. Unfortunatly I don't have the wallet for them, (or I'm just too cheap). ;)

I did build and or paint (hence my screen name Jetpainter) quite a few of them for other people up into the turbine days, so I fed my addiction with other peoples money.:)
