I think it is a cheap hobby compared to most. A safer hobby than most. My old eyes GS helps me see that plane. I love them and I am sure they keep me out of a lot of trouble.

Agreed on that, I've had mates say I spend too much on my planes then I turn around and ask them how much that dirt bike was they bought that they used once last year, or how much was that 50" TV they bought so they can watch adverts, I don't smoke or drink apart from special occasions so the way I see it this hobby is my addiction but I'm proud of mine ... :)

"They fly better!" they said, "They're more fun!" they said... "Everybody's doin it!" They said...

They were right!

Seriously though.. A large number of people at my field fly GS so it's kinda the norm. I did get kind of burnt out a couple years ago when it seemed like all we did was fly GS aerobatic/3d planes. I also have very limited time for the hobby. So I sold off all my stuff except my transmitter for a year or so and was out of the hobby. I started going nuts with family and work and couldn't really figure out why.. Then I realized I didn't have anything for me to do I only did stuff for everyone else.. So I thought I'd just get a 50cc plane.. That lasted about 20 flights before I realized it just wasn't the same so back to 100cc I went.. Recently GS warbirds have kind of been the thing and it's really refreshing to see people do something other than attempt to torque roll only to knife edge out all day long.. Now they fly fast circles around the field lol.. But it looks and sounds cool.. I just recently jumped in on that as well with my Corsair.
