Got my 61 out today after a quick check up from Kole (thanks!) following my mid air in Nov.

Whoa... This engine continues to impress me! 7650 rpm in flight on the Falcon 24x10, and it REALLY sounded awesome.

I love this engine!

Just getting started with mine.... GP-61 mounted and linkages set up......

(91" Corvus Racer -- replacing previous DLE-55 that just went to another plane)

Used 1-1/4" standoffs I made on my lathe to match the old DLE-55 length......

Going to go with a 24x9 Falcon Carbon prop.....

Great choice for this motor. It likes the 24x9 Falcon a lot.

If you're waiting for the weather to break, won't it be March or April? :(

30-35+ mph winds are killing us up here.... plenty of snow, but the wind.....

I have skis for the Corvus, and I don't mind the cold too much.... hoping
within a couple weeks, (early February) the winds will settle.... fingers crossed...

Hi pakratt,

I'm having a hard time finding performance numbers for the GP61 on a Falcon 24 9. As soon as you have your numbers available would you be so kind posting them?

I'm about to replace my EME60 with the GP61. It's for an EF 300. I did get 7100 out of my EME with a smooth pipe on a Falcon 24 9.

Hi Gyro,

You seem to have the latest numbers available. Would you be so kind to see what you get as a static rpm on your Falcon 24 10?

With all respect but the given rpm in flight is not a good measurement to judge the power of the engine. If an airplane has a low parasitic drag, (parasitic drag increases when you fly faster) or thin wings (lower induced drag) your rpm will be higher due to a higher 'end speed'.

Thanks,

Marten.
