when did you start cutting vinyl?

Iv'e always cut colored vinyl....that's how I got started, color vinyl cutting only. Only took about 3-4 months to out grow that and moved on to wide format printing and contour cutting. The same machines will cut regular colored vinyl also

I sure do, I use a low tac paint mask vinyl

Looking at the drawings you sent, I think I can guess what your thinking. @acerc

If your guessing something along the line's of masking for the transition between the yellow, silver, and black, you would be right.
What I would do is paint the silver then mask it off, paint the yellow then mask it off at the black and cover the rest with painting paper, and then paint the black. The black pinstripe around the silver I would use automotive pin striping.
