the way it was explained to me, they built it to prove they could and as a learning experience for the company. if they get enough interest they'd build a few more but the price would be in the $6500 to $9000 range. i don't speak for DA obviously but if anyone's interested they'd probably be happy to talk to you about it and would be able to provide better information.

it was cool as hell to see it up close and in person!! my first thought was to put two of them in a scale Piper Aztec or something like that.

I don't know if it is still flying or not(Will hunt the vid) .But an all metal Aero-commander held the record for heaviest RC plane at 750 lbs. I believe it had a pair of 35 hp 3W quads in it......I'm hunting the vid now.....Well can't find it..darn. It must have been a dvd I had of one of the La Ferte' fly ins. Anyway the DA 300 would be perfect for it.
