Cool Hangin’ in the Hangar

Several excellent threads have been started here at GSN, many of which I read every day.
This evening I thought about how each of us has acquired unique items over the course of our aviation addiction, whether Giant Scale, full scale or other, for our shops, houses, or hangars which may be of interest to others here.

I’ll start with a photo hanging in my son’s room which a friend framed several years ago. This is by far the most unusual air-to-air photo I’ve ever seen of a P-40. Hope you enjoy it!

Now let’s see some of the cool things you would like to share with this amazing group of people...

I went to get a better pic. It was during the Red Eagle build, one day on one of the forums the fella that did the redo from the original to the Jacquie version sent me a pm. Said he did the recover and asked if I would like to have it, Absolutely. I really need to get it in some kind of frame.
One other item that is dear to my heart is the first real engine I ever had, I don't count Cox, it is an early 60's Drone diesel. It was in a Monogram Piper Cub that eventually fell apart due to the years of oil saturation, a gift from dear ole Dad. Countless hours of true circle jerk spent with it, it will get buried with me.

Awesome! Both the fabric and the Drone diesel. Thanks for sharing.

For tonight’s installment, attached is a photo of the photo hanging in my shop.
Gentleman in the photo is the best pilot I ever knew, my father, circa 1976.
Aircraft was his pride and joy, a 1944 Beechcraft Model 17 “Staggerwing”, restored as a U.S. Navy GB-2.

Not hanging in my shop rather in my living room. Only airplane related stuff the wife has ever allowed to be out on display.

Cub picture we bought at the air and space museum. They had a bunch of others but where pretty pricey so I only got one.

Christmas gift from a couple of years ago when the USPS brought the inverted Jenny stamps back. Always thought it was a neat story and loved the Jenny so I told me wife I had to have it.

Parents got this for me for Christmas way back when I was maybe 8-9 years old and just starting to show interest in aviation. I remember staring at it wondering what it would be like to fly each one of those planes.

All cool items! Thanks for sharing.
Laughing about the comment “wife allowed to be on display”!
Only one item is visible in our house, which I’ll post on this thread later today.
All the other stuff is either in storage or in the shop.
