Yours will not need any tape to seal the flex portion.

I've been running "Rescue Tape" on my DA100 headers. No leaks, but I did split the tape once.

My Da170 kept blowing holes in the flex tape. Last year when I had the engine and pipes off I soaked and cleaned the headers then filled the flex grooves with copper RTV. After it dried I made 3 wraps with that thin metal tape the Htg. and Air people use on vents (not sure what it's called). After that I wrapped it with the thicker Teflon tape (yellow stuff). So far so good after a couple of hundred flights.
