Discussion Help to find a true 150 cc 3D plane.

Been looking for a while. Most planes in this size are geared towards the 200 cc and up. And most weighing 40 pounds and up. Like to see something between 36 and 38 lbs for a DA 150. Not looking to buy the plane right now but some time in the future just looking ahead for a project.

Kit or ARF? I know a friend of mine's 40% JTEC Extra 300 with a DA 170 (his IMAC plane) 3d's quite well! He has large throws (he is "young" and crazy good) on his surfaces and it very surprising how well it does!

Yes I have looked at the JTec plane nice stuff. If I had my choice it would be a kit. looked at them at JoeNall there were few but lightest one I could find was 42 and a few ozone’s. And yes they all had 170 and up and all the 170 I saw had tune pipes in them. Thanks for the reply.

I would like to recommend the AJ Aircraft Laser 115", simply put, an incredible airframe. It call's for a 150-170 but many are with a DA 150 and fly extremely well. Check them out on you tube.

Looked at that one numerous times and it is number one on my list. And even better it is 7 hour drive there and back to pick it up at his house, from my place. Done it once before.

Acerc agree with you AJ builds a great plane and very good design and if I have to judge from the smaller one that I have it is probably one of the best out there. My only concern is, is the plane a little to much for 150.

Thanks Acerc that was a good video demo of the plane with a 150 in it thanks for that. Looks like there is not much else out there. It is the same conclusion I was coming to but you never know what is out there.

Have you looked into the Jtec Radiowave extra, MX2, and Giles, they are running DA150's on those. And there is also Dalton Aviation that has some suited for the DA 150. PAU also has some nice Extras well suited for that engine.
