3D Hinges for Removable Rudders?

Do the flat pin style hinges or the Robart point style hinges work better for a removable rudder?

Did use it and they work awesome.
Don't forget to bind them all together when you glue them to the fin and rudder.

Did you just glue them in or do you need to pin (I.E. drill through them at a 90 degree angle and secure with a dowel or other small round piece of wood) them as well?

Up to you. You can just glue them, but ruff up the surface. When I build kits I "pin" the top and bottom hinge. And I just use an actual pin. I cut it down so that it will sit under the balsa just a touch and put glue on it and push it in.

Scuff them up, cleaned them and used GG to secure them. No pins.

I didn't pin my flat ones. Klett hinges were the best but you can barely find them anymore.

Kind of like the Klett tail wheels. I love those little dudes. Wish I could find more of them.
