Idea! Homemade Side Force Generators

They are already made, so not much to show. I put a piece of 1/8" ply on the wing tips with blind nuts on the back to bolt them on to. With this method, they can be added to any plane with flat tips.

That is essentially what I did on the AB yak... I just had to make the tips flat first lol.

Kinda made my own SFGs last night... Got the 74" edge prototype I owned previously back, and figured id add what it had been missing, SFGs...

First, I acquired the current 74" SFGs and spacers, then went about adding blind nuts to the spacers, and making the spacers a little thicker to accommodate the blind nut.

Then I prepared and mounted them to the wingtips with epoxy.

Next, I added some covering, white on the bottom, and overlapping red on the top.

Finally, I installed the SFGs:

Not the perfect and pretty install, but sturdy, functional, and the wrinkles won't be visible when I'm flying :)
