Tim, can you please give an update on where you're at with your motor so far?
(Fuel used, rpm, current prop, etc)

Thanks!

Ok, here goes:

52 flights so far at an average of 10 minutes each - 520 minutes
.5L Fiji water bottle consuming roughly 2/3 tank on each flight (roughly 12 oz) - 624 oz = 4.875 gallons
Current prop - 24x9 Falcon CF, much faster spool up over the equivalent Hover/Xoar/VVRC Beechwood
Original peak RPM with 24x9 FCF - 6200
Current peak RPM with 24x9 FCF - 65-6600
Idle is smooth at 1500 but I idle up to around 1800 in flight for faster response

Hope that helps and let me know if there's anything else you guys are curious about!

Here it all is in action 2 weekends ago now. What it doesn't have in top end RPM compared to a DA60/GP61 it more than makes up for in smoothness and transitional power. Not as on/off...

Got some more time on the DLE61 this past Friday at an event here in Texas.

Still starts easy, still performing well. Changed to a light VVRC beechwood 24x9 prop, and spool up improved a pinch. Ground rpm up a pinch to 6700, and in flight max rpm was 7800, and it seemed to be on the edge of ripping some of the time.

Thinking I may try a 24x10 Falcon next time out, that is my favorite prop on the GP61, so I'm interested to see how I Iike it on the DLE.
SupaTim, wondering why we've got such a big difference in RPM? Are your "peak" rpm numbers from in flight or static on the ground?

Mine are definitely on the ground via the rcexl tach hard mounted in my plane. In Toledo this weekend but will be working on my 92 with the 61 this week as I am now the proud owner of a Demon Cortex... Will give it a tune and see if I can squeeze any more out of it as I literally haven't touched needles since December and the weather is considerably different now!

Makes sense then! Have a safe trip home.

Does anyone know where to get replacement muffler bolts? The taper under the head. I lost one on my 120 last night. Same as the 61.
