I’m going out flying thread 2019

Went out to the field today first day well over a week that we had no rain at last. It was a little cold 40 degrees F, and little windy about 30 mph but straight down the runway so it was no problem. Flew my big plane with the DA150 on it really enjoyed it but this will be the last time for this year. It will be going down to the basement to be cleaned up and everything prepared for the the winter storage.

New flying field opened up about 20 minutes from me. Checked it out had a couple of flights and payed for one year membership. Looks promising, no facilities but a full scale runway about 20 ft wide 3000 ft long. This opens up a hole new dimension for me, always flown of grass what difference a runway makes. Difficult to steer straight and the plane just keeps going . Just something I will have to get use to.

Went flying again to day just cannot believe the weather the past four days. Just perfect blue sky no clouds no wind and the temperatures are pleasant. Sure is nice to get this type of weather this late in year I am making the best off, just a pity that big Stick has been put away for the winter.

It’s a brand new club some I new and probably 60% I do not know or there names I did not recognize them on the list, time will tell.
Went to fly at my old field. It was packed looked like the hole club was there never seen it that busy.

Went to the Toys for Tots fly-in in Eureka MO yesterday. Probably the best flying weather of the year. Was an awesome day.

It was also the first time I put my Cub together since I finished the graphics. Mikey like.

Went flying yesterday. It was mid 60's and sunny. The black sweatshirt I was wearing was too much in the sun. 24 hours later......... sleet, than snow, high winds and lots of cold.

Well it is really cold up here 2 degrees and we just received 6 inches of snow. Boy that is an early start to winter. Hopefully spring comes early, or else it is going to be a long building season.
