Chris Hinson of Extreme Flight RC, and Ben Fisher and Noll Smith of 3D Hobby Shop, have officially teamed up to form an RC company that spans not only giant scale 3D planes but also park flyers and detailed war birds! They have 14 new planes they will be debuting at Joe Nall this week. According to public disclosure at Joe Nall, the new company combines Extreme Flight, 3D Hobby Shop, Extreme Power, Legacy Aviation, Aces High, and Speed Freak. The name of the new company is "Extreme Flight Family of Brands".
Here is a list of the brands in the family:
[FONT=Lato, Helvetica, Calibri, Arial, sans-serif]The new company has plans to introduce new airframes built with a synergistic combination of current and new build techniques. These airframes will cover all the above product lines, from 3D to sport to general aviation to speed planes.
Ben talked about a global warehousing system that will enable much better levels of stock. The new center of operations will be at the Extreme Flight facility in Georgia. Discussion of a west coast and Canadian distributor as well as existing overseas distributors rounded out the plan.
Look for more news going forward.
Per the brain trust of Chris, Ben, and Noll, the existing extremeflightrc.com web site will be the entry point for all the brands in the family. Look for ongoing changes on the web site in the coming months.
