Anyone going this year?

I've been thinking about it a lot. Mostly the logistics of bringing my 104NG again and figuring out the best way to get a used gas motor there without breaking any TSA or Airline rules with Hazmat from Alaska to South Carolina. Here's my 104NG and my Tent from last year.

Anyone going this year?

I've been thinking about it a lot. Mostly the logistics of bringing my 104NG again and figuring out the best way to get a used gas motor there without breaking any TSA or Airline rules with Hazmat from Alaska to South Carolina. Here's my 104NG and my Tent from last year.

I would really like to go. The one thing that is holding me back is exchange rate of the Can $ to the US $. Hopefully I get to go. If I can talk one of my flying buddies to go that will help.

I have a knee replacement scheduled for April 1, so actually don’t know if I should jump in on this plan. Maybe I bring a golf cart.

Recovery time should be about right and I think the best thing to do after that is actually using the replacement part to help the muscles bond right. Your going to have to play that one by ear my friend. You can always pull the sticks on my plane if I do actually make it.

I have 2 planes in a trailer about 2 hours from Nall. No need to hustle one from Alaska.

An RV of some sort would be awesome. My brother owns a humongous motor home but that’s in Oklahoma.

I've thought about an RV delivery service, but I can't really pin down those details enough for it to make sense in my head. LOL

There is something special about flying your own airplane at Joe Nall. I felt pretty bad asking for fuel donations as I flew a lot! Donated some redline oil for the donors. Everyone was super nice about it and really helped me out a lot. I probably would have flown more with a side kick.

My best friend lives in Spartanburg, let me ask him about rv's in the area.

I've lined up some kid helpers so I can attend this year. Looking like I might be there Monday and leaving Friday. Anyone else going?
