Scale JTEC 1/3 Scale Taylorcraft

Spent the better part of this summer buying the plans, wood, engine, landing gear, cowl, etc. for this project. Plans were purchased from Rich Barch and a short kit from JTEC Radiowave.

Changed my workshop over to "build mode" a couple of weeks ago and have made some progress on the fuse.

This is by far the most challenging project I have undertaking but I'm sure the end result will be very satisfying. IMG_20141019_192849.jpg IMG_20141025_145855.jpg 20141102_121329.jpg IMG_20141105_175846.jpg IMG_20141107_145859.jpg

Starting to look more and more like a T-craft

I will be using a DA-100 with a 23 x 12 3 blade prop. Most who have built and flown this airframe have used 100cc engines and are very happy with the results. As I said in my initial post, this is by far the most challenging project I have ever attempted. No directions, just the plans and plenty of help from others who have built it.

Damn I'm hungry
Really looking good! My good friend Derrek built one with a DLE 111 and modified aerobatic wing and it is awesome.
