Something like this would be real simple to cobble together yourself... with a custom circuit you could more accurately match the current to the led requirements... sensing the pulse width from the receiver is pretty simple programmatically... if you have ever played with a micro controller, might just roll your own...

Even though electronics were my career and hobby for decades I'd rather buy these than build them. Put the creative brain cells to work on new problems, but the great thing about this hobby is that whatever works for you is great.
