My dad and I bought this plane a month after I got my private license my freshman year of college (when the pic was taken). 1975 Piper Warrior. Awesome little plane. I have since sold out of it but my dad still is part of the club that owns it now so I still get to fly her every now and then

My wife was weaned on Piper Cherokees and Warriors. Economical and will carry a load of ice (she's been there - done that!). We had a C180 for a few years.

My first solo was on my 16th birthday in a Cherokee, 1966 Pa-28-140 N4113J to be exact. Spent quite a few hours in that aircraft with my father as my instructor.

Well, tomorrow is the big day. I'm going to be traveling to California to take possession of a 1974 Mooney M20c. I have to get some dual time in it before I can go solo, so I'm going to meet up with an instructor Sunday morning, put in a few hours, then fly back home Sunday afternoon. That is, assuming the weather cooperates...
