Help! Making landing gear

At that location the strength of piano wire is not required and the loss of some strength due it a little stress relief will not in way comprise the strength of the gear. But please understand that a can not see exactly how the gear is put together. Just trying to help.

That is definitely another way around it (heating it) and easy. Probably much easier than trying to source different materials.

Maybe @acerc will let us know. I may or may not get one. Depends on how well I can straighten back the right side of the Cub gear :concern:.
Besides....Already blew my allowance trying to get that cool saw ;).

Ok Fella's, the Universal bender showed up. First impressions was when I picked the box up and thought wholly crap. I figured by the low price it might be a very light weight and low grade piece of equipment, no where near capable of bending 5/16 piano wire. After opening I see why it is heavy, this is one nice tool. The design kind of reminds me of a mechanical bender I used many years ago. It has a number of sized circular blanks as well as a couple angled blanks. I have no doubt this little tool will bend anything I throw it's way. Thanks @49dimes for finding and sharing it with us.
Forgive the hideous paint table used to photo on but all my others are over flowing.

Can't right now, busy getting other things done. I have one week to finish preparing before Tog Gun and the following week Joe Nall.
And in the mix of these things the wife and I are nursing her mother through the last days of a battle with cancer. Might not make either of those events depending on how it goes with her.
