I've wanted this Challenger II kit since the first time I saw Bill Hempel's on video and Desert Aircraft's at Joe Nall in about 2005. This is what an Aerobatic airplane is supposed to look like!
Many if you know that I spent a lot of time building and flying IMAC planes, specifically Dalton Aviation Extra's. I think I have built 12-13 of them and almost all of them turn key for customers. Like everything in life this plane has been on the back burner due to time and money. I'm an all or nothing type of person, go big or go home, do it right or it's no worth doing.
Last year at Joe Nall, 2013, My good friend Gotz Vogelsang introduced me to Bodo Ulbricht who is the owner of Exclusiv Modellbau. I also met Tim Stadler who was flying the black "1800COLLECT" Challenger II. Gotz knows I've wanted one of these planes for some time. That was it... I was hooked.
Gotz (sounds like guts) owns and runs Vogelsang Aeroscale here in NC. He has all the best stuff in the world and is the importer and distributor for Exclusiv Modellbau in the US. Check out his site, he'll be updating shortly as well.
