Well, this was an "extremely awesome" event!
Chad and Natasha from TailDraggerRC put on one helluva event! The field was packed, engines were roaring, pilots were throwing down awesome 3D all weekend! Please see above (post updated) for all of our event coverage!
It's 1:10am here, and I'm sitting in my hotel room trying to wind down from all the excitement.. having just finished uploading all the pics and vids above, and I wanted to share some thoughts:
-EF Rocks! Chris Hinson, Chris Jewett, and Jeff Williams from Team Extreme were gracious gentlemen keeping me hydrated all weekend, teaching others about airplanes, being ambassadors for our hobby, and having fun flying and bs'ing with us. Pure class from EF!
-Kentucky knows how to have fun! The SKYMAC hosts took great care of all of us and made for a great weekend at a beautiful field
-We WILL do this again. The event was a complete success for all involved, and we all agreed to repeat (and try to grow) this EF series next year.
-I can't wait to finish my 88" Edge, and then start on my new 104" After watching them fly this weekend, I'm glad I got an 88" before they sold out, and I'm especially excited to build a 104!
-the new EF 60" Laser is awesome. So precise, yet ready to spin and tumble. KE was perfect, pop tops violent and exciting. Thanks to Chris for giving me a pull!
-the sound and experience of having a 120" airplane with a DA200 hovering a few feet in front of you, and experiencing the prop blast as it rockets out of hover was incredible. Thanks Joe for letting me join you on the line for the flight !!!
-it was really great to meet so many of our members in person! Everyone was so nice and friendly, I really enjoyed meeting you all. I wish I could have just hung out and flew the whole event with you all, but then we'd have no photos above. Again, thanks to all who came up and said Hi!
-Chris Hinson and Chad Wilson are awesome on the Guitar! Thanks for the tunes!
