This is not my build...but one I thought y'all would enjoy!

I recently read the January 2015 issue of Radio Controlled Soaring Digest (http://www.rcsoaringdigest.com/). I asked and received permission to share the attached information with the GiantScaleNews Community!

In that issue there is an amazing article written by the builder, Gilles Bailleul, covering the details of the design and construction of his 1/3 scale, 10.3 Meter (33.8 feet) Eta sailplane. This thing is HUGE and the engineering that went into the design is amazing. I've attached a PDF copy of the article that RC Soaring Digest provided to me for your reading pleasure: Eta1.pdf (full issue can be found here: http://www.rcsoaringdigest.com/pdfs/RCSD-2015/RCSD-2015-01.pdf),

I also plan to contact Gilles and invite him to join GiantScaleNews and give us more details about this amazing build!

Gilles Eta

New to GSN!
Hi all,

I just join the Forum. The Eta you can see on the video and rcsoaringdisgest is not the first and only one made. Tony Elliot's made one some years ago (i only got some photo on the web), my model started from an original fuselage mold made by a french colleague Jean Poulou. You can find also lost of information (in french sorry) on Gérard Risbourg site : http://lesgpr.free.fr/.

‘Amicalement’

Gilles
