That tracing was unfortunately the inside of the pattern. I wished I had traced both sides. Looking at your attachment now.

I'm only guessing here but I believe the plywood is too large. In the photo below there is a flange that the rear window fits into, I would image the fabric was glued to the flange and glued into the flange as well, than a reinforcing tape was applied on top the fabric over the the flange. Section G-G in the attached pdf shows the details of the full scale.

Great find!

I’m guessing the fuselage in the photo is J-3 or PA-18 where the drawing may be the military version with more glass all around.

Not sure of the manufacturing date. In '23 I guess.

I sprayed several year old stuff on the Super Cub last year, possibly 10 years old. Came out great.

Thank you both!

I won’t throw anything out just yet, but will try to use the various products and report back. It’s not like a full-scale which needs to be out in the harsh elements, the models will rarely leave the cozy workshop :)

Depending upon who mixes it the dates and labels appear differently. Apparently I’ve ordered from both Consolidated and F&M Enterprises aka Stits.com in the past.

Woke up in the middle of the night realizing I can do a tracing of the window frame and transfer the pattern to the fabric….

Gotta love those little ah ha moments. It's usually right before I go to bed.... then I cannot sleep... maybe i need to write it on my arm LOL.
I've been trying to figure out a hoist system and I think I may have actually done it... stay tuned there!
