That is correct, just showing what the 3 mm shears will do.

I don't think a plastic Du-bro push rod is appropriate for a 40 lb airplane so looking for ideas. I might have a direct line to the servo but the flex of a plastic push rod is nice.

So I made a cf push rod.

I added a bell crank to make up the 2" offset. I pressed in bearing just big enough to cover 4-40 rod then locked it in between the fuse frame.

I just have to ask have followed you from the beginning and always enjoyed the detail and the scale parts of the build. Seeing I have never built anything like this I have to ask is there any concern of the weight that you will end up with.
