I really like the Checkmate. The only problem with it is that my twin will not fit in the cowl, so I'd have to buy another motor. I'm still hoping Great Planes comes through

Hey BarracudaHockey,
I hope you get one too. I'll look forward to your write up in Fly R/C. I'm curious with regards to what Great Planes recommends for servos. I've got enough Futaba 9155's and a Futaba 9156 for the rudder with a 2 cell LiFe pack for the receiver and I'd believe those servos will be PLENTY strong enough. Especially since I don't plan on doing any 3D with it.

I have 9155's x7 for the surfaces, thats what the manual recommends.

I also have a couple of 9001's for the throttle and choke and some Life Source batteries 2 for the rx and 1 for the ignition.
