Thanks...yes, it's been awhile. Planning on getting back to my 35% Krill in a bit. Hope to finally finish her this winter.
Glad to hear your going to work on the Krill. I have a Krill Ultimate to paint this winter for my flying buddy Tony. We're going to start dreaming up a scheme tomorrow night. Not much out there to look at for Ultimate schemes.

I like 'em "BIG"!
After having run DA150's and 170's I have finally jumped on the 4-cylinder bandwagon. Got a great deal on an overhauled DA200L while I was at the IMAC Worlds in Sept.

No excuses now....

It is so good to see you back home Earle. And really glad to see you will be getting the Krill done. Now lets talk about that four cylinder. I won't slander any engine...well not if I can help it. I will only say this. When you fly a four cylinder, you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner. I wish I could put a four cylinder in everything I own. 3W makes a 112 that could replace my 106 in my Edge. And for the other big twins? I could just get all 220's for them. Right? Seriously though, that DA is a good looking engine. I love the sound, the torque and the plane (pun intended) coolness factor of them. I am so glad you finally have one to enjoy. Please feed the bears. We need to hear some four cylinder awesomeness. LOL

I get excited when I read about you gentlemen talking about 4 cylinder engines. Every time I read about 4 cylinder engines I start looking for four cylinder engines. The one engine I end up with is the 3w 112 CS man do I love that engine. I just cannot justifiy a big 200 or 220 cc engine just do not have the means to get it too and from the field so the 3W 112CS seems to be the best solution to have and enjoy a four cylinder engine. Does anyone have any experience with this engine if you do please comment.

HEY!..GET OUTTA MY TREE!
While I have flown a couple of DA200 IMAC planes, this is my first time owning one. Got a great deal....otherwise I'd still be running my piped 170. It's been a busy couple of years for us here, but things are settling down and time to get back into the build/finish mode on a couple of projects. Have learned a bit about base/clear painting as well as fixing mistakes...LOL (cut and buff works wonders!).

Once I get this 200 flying I plan to jump back on the Krill again. Hate to admit it but that thing is 6 years old this month....:(:black-eye:

Glad to see you are able and to have some time again to get back into the hobby. We all have certain projects that for some reason or another just does not seem to get done , but sooner or later you get at it and then you say to self why did not finish this plane years ago.

I am not at all any form of an authority on the subject. But from my perspective, You just can't go wrong with a four cylinder. Yeah, the beast twins are so awesome. And so easy to set up. Easy to maintain too. And they have plenty of power. But the real kicker is this. A four cylinder just sounds sooo amazing. And grunt power is off the scales. The coolness factor needle is broken off at the "FULL ON BAD ASS" marks. Its like when you show up at the field with your quad cylinder powered ride, there is this ominous aura that surrounds you. Your head has a glow about it. Natural bright light illuminates your shadow as you saunter up. And the silent little echos on the wind whisper out your name. The onlookers suddenly become speechless. As if by witchcraft their voices have been taken from their mouths. And their eyes are fixated and immovable from your plane. And when that beast of powerful four cylinders sparks to life, the "oooos" and "aaahs" are harmonious and unanimous. Strangely enough, you turn to offer that coy little smile and everyone is bowing at your feet. WE ARE NOT WORTHY is the chant of all the onlookers. praising-the-lord-smiley-emoticon.gif

Ok, maybe not really to this degree. (Just a bit of an over active imagination there? LOL) But I do kind of feel a little special when the Beasty 212 powered Behemoth Yak gets to play in the sky with me at the sticks. I really am very excited and happy for you. You are just going to love it. You'll ask yourself, "why....why did I not do this sooner"?

I need to start my own 3W-112 quad fund. I sold an MK Arrow pattern kit recently for good money, I should do some more of than and just get er done.

The 112 is one I have had my eye on for awhile. I would love to put one on my Pilot RC Edge. But dang, that 106cs kicks serious bootie.
