OK.. I have 2 NADs for this season... The Pitts has maybe half a dozen flights on it since its maiden this summer. The MX2 had the maiden last week and a few shakedown flights today... both are great fun to fly!
That's crazy, the cowl that I got for my new CAP project came attached to a plane in that exact scheme!! But mine looks like it had been sitting an a barn and will never fly again. The scheme however is really cool!! Congrats!
Thanks Terry, the covering is pretty loose in spots and I'm wondering if I could ever really hope it will stay shrunk down for any length of time. Been testing spots and it's shrinking and sticking but we'll see when the sun hits it if it will hold up at all. Almost all of the Breitling stuff is coming off so the main colors will stay the same but the branding will change
@reyn3545 very nice airplanes! which Pitts 12 is that? and what lens are you using??? holy crap, there's virtually no prop blur!
i would have guessed CARF based on the color scheme, are the wings painted? I almost bought a beat up CARF Pitts S1-11B about two years ago but the guy wanted too much for it. It was a total rebuilder but a really cool plane so I was kicking it around
Bart
The wings are painted, mostly in the mold before the skins are laid in, then some air brushing over that after they are removed.... I was surprised how nice they turned out. Its a geat, gentle flying bipe, but it takes FOREVER to put it together at the field.
