To seal the hinges, I am using white ultracote.

Ailerons and elevators are now hinged and sealed.



Available throw:

Ailerons- 60*

Elevators- 65

I'm not sure if the control horns and servo geometry will allow me this throw. We shall see.



I used 6 playing cards for the hinge gap on the ailerons, and 4 for the elevators.

Tonight I began painting all the exposed wood with finishing resin. It is going to give the wood a nice shiny amber(ish) finish as well as semi-fuel proofing it.

Do you use Polyester Resin, or Expoxy Resin?

Epoxy. It won't completely fuel proof it, but if have a small fuel spill it wont get all over the wood and damage glue joints.
