PAU 50cc/60cc Edge 540T

Don't know a thing..
Yea.. I noticed that... looks great.

Went on B&E and tried to replicate this PAU logo you did.. I can get it pretty close with one exception. The lower band of text and the aresti diagram are the symbol part of the image... I can play around with the linear gradient of the symbol and reproduce what you've done but not the black to orange fade of the top of the half loop... I wonder if that is just a minor difference in the software to printing, or if I need to add a few more 'boxes' to the fade... Also.. I didn't find the GSN logo listed anywhere...

Really nice job with these !

Yes, you can add color boxes.

Sliding them closer tightens up yhe fade ( smaller ).

I did a lot of this on the B&E decal.

LiFe battery chemistry is at around 6.6v - roughly the same as a 5 cell NiMH. LiIon are at 8.4v so you need a regulator or a high voltage setup.

I know my Cellpro 10S charges them to also 8.5 volts.

I have the regulator turn up to the max 6.6 volts.

Just worried that 8.4v will end them premature.

If I remember correctly, the JR DS-8711 is a 6.0 volt servo right? Using a reg. with 2s packs is wise.

Yes, they are rated to 6 volts.

There are lots running them on Lipo's unregulated, but I didn't want to push the 8.4V mark.

I expo the crap out of them any way, so super speed isn't an issue for me.

Running them @ 6.6V probably has them somewhere around 425-430 in oz.

There's no need for anymore then that on a 50cc plane.

Getting real close.

just need to glue aileron hinges, aileron servos, glue canopy, and install wheel pants.

As long as a 4" rudder servo arm get here in time, it will have its maiden flight this weekend.

Ok, you're making me really jealous. That is one smart looking plane! Only....how come it is taking you so long to get it together? LOL.... It's kind of funny in a way. My son picked up his second Pilot Edge on Friday of last week. (His first one met it's untimely demise) He had it totally assembled and ready to balance by Saturday night. He too had to wait for another 4" double offset for the rudder. Too funny.... :laughing:I can't wait for the video.... There will be a video...."RIGHT"?:nodding-yes-by-a-ve
