PAU Canopy bolts

No worries Terry. I trust your advice. You and Herve should definately know the best way to do it. I'll likely go with the thumb screws @Matt Carruthers recommended.

I love the Emcotec fuelers. I've used those on several models and I have them on order for the Viper. I'll go with a pin style switch but I'm not sure where I'll mount the fuelers. Pulling screws (even thumb screws) to refuel doesn't really appeal to me but I really hate things sticking through the side of the airframe.

Just make sure you use bonded washers under the thumb screw it it should work fine.

I like 'em "BIG"!

I'm with ya there brother. Sometimes I can be quite anal and this one is a biggie for me. Why?....why cut all those ungodly holes in a fuselage and dirty up a beauty with all that un-needed crap when it's just simply not necessary?

I'll probably use a magnetic switch. I can put the status LEDs for ign and RX under the canopy. I'm still not sure what to do about the fuel dots though. The Emcotecs that I like are fairly low profile but I still am not a fan of them sticking through the side of the plane. Once the Viper gets here I'll figure something out. I may just live with removing the canopy to refuel or I might try to devise a small hatch to hide them under.

This is the downside of ARFs. I love the quality and ease and cost of ARFs and PAU makes awesome airframes. But I miss the ability to customize a plane the way I can with a kit.

HEY!..GET OUTTA MY TREE!
As for the system, you can go with the simple pin-flag switch. It's pretty unobtrusive to begin with but can be flush mounted with a little work. I'd post a pic, but it only looks like a tiny stainless donut

For fuel/smoke dots....well real planes have fillers so why not! If you can put them in a scale location, even better!!!

One day I'll bet this airplane might even fly...

Wow! Thought the Krill would've flown by now, Earle. Beautiful work, was watching the build, then life sorta happened and lost track.
