PAU/Dalton 300

Recieved my new PAU/Dalton today. Only took 2 days to ship to my work. I was not thinking it would have been that fast but I sure am glad it was. So today I start the assembly. List of components I am using are as follows:
DLE 222
Planebender 3D cans and mount
Falcon 31x14x2 carbon prop
8 MKS HBL380 servos with carbon arms
MKS HV1250 throttle servo
Fromeco wolverine switch
2 Futaba 7008 receivers
1 Fromeco badger switch for ignition
Smart-fly dual ignition ignition kill
2 5400mah Thunderpower batteries for receiver
1 2100mah Thunderpower lipo for ignition

Got started right away with the hard stuff. Hinged the first wing with epoxy. Then I remembered while installing the epoxy why I hate it. Even 30 min epoxy does not give me enough time. I did not have any 1hr epoxy so I went back to Ole faithful, gorilla glue. Did the other wing and stabs in gorilla. Cut down the motor box. I was worried at first that it was DA specific. The 200 is about an 1" shorter than the 222. But Herve and Tony did it right by having g the box further back to accommodate different engines. I will need a spacer but that is no biggie. Let all the glue dry over night. I will pin and paint t the motor box maybe tomorrow. Going to a car cruise so if anything it will be later in the evening. I was hoping to head out to the lake for some more jetskiing but my buddy want to go to the cruise instead because his ski is broke down.

I don't think you should have a problem viewing photos when you not logged in.

Spent most of today working on the plane. I hope to fly it by this upcoming g weekend. A special note, a DA200 may not require the firewall to be cut. I need a 1 1/4" spacing for the DLE 222. The original firewall is 2". The DA200 I believe is an inch shorter than my 222. I used aluminum angle to brace the fire wall and still need to pin it. I also used an angle meter to make sure the engine is square. If I went by the firewall it would have been off. Must not have been 100% square. Built a can tunnel to house the cans.

Remember, line up the engine with the lower cowl on to make sure you have the engine centered. I lined it up and had my wife mark the two upper bolts. If you divide the engine mount spacer and go off those measurements the engine will not be lined up.

I forgot to add, the covering is the best I have seen on an ARF. Just fantastic. But, it does need to be thoroughly gone over with an iron. It is loose in some areas. So you must go over it.

One thing I miss from the previous PAU 300 I had was the wire run channel to back. But I had a few from when I bought some at TNTlandinggear. I made up 4 leads to the back servos using the powerbox wire.

I had to run over to AJ aircraft.Com today. My 2 MKS 380S and 1220 throttle servo came in. So I am good on servos now.

I figure to give everyone an idea on weights of some of the components I would show you what I have. It can give an idea on what it weighs and where the saving could take place.

FYI the headers are DA200 long drop headers from DA. I wanted to get some header pipe from DA but no body answers any phones over there, voice mail is full and after 2 weeks no body returns emails. But they ship online orders fast.
