Does this seem right to you guys. This is on the 35 cent edge. This is where it needs to be drilled to match the cowl.

Just by eyeballing the pic......yes looks about right.

If you are in doubt, tape the mount to the firewall, use some short bolts to hold the engine with spinner back plate on and test the bottom half of the cowl.

My brother is putting the 35 cent edge together. Do you guys seal off the canister tunnel when running cans. And what mounts are you using?thanks

I did not seal off the tunnel. I opened only the two holes I needed for the stingers using rear dump KS86 cans. Never a heat issue. I use the laser cut mounts from Desert Aircraft. You might have to cut the double mount in half, so two single might be the way to go. I also have made my own mounts using light ply a hole saw and silicone glow fuel tubing.

I use ultracote to seal my pipe tunnel.I want to direct the heat out as efficient as possible. Seams to be working really well too.

I used a very light weight luan ply to seal my tunnel..

For those who want to seal the tunnel, balsa or creative foam are easy, light weigh inexpensive options as well.
