The spinner looks really good for this plane. It is about 1' longer than the one I had on the V1.

Trying to decide if I want to paint it or not . The finish is very well done with a great glossy CF look .

Whew......Now that other planes are out of my way I got some things done on the extra. Rudder pull pull tray, Prop and spinner back plate drilled, Fuel tank vent line and the engine mounting template installed awaiting a nice sharp 1/4" drill bit.

I extended the use of the drilling guide to also support the spinner for cowl alignment. It fits perfectly inside the CF tube. The drill guide itself is one of those single bolt prop shaft adaptors. IMO they were a bad idea for 50cc class engines but it turned out they work great for drill guides. Specially if you want to drill the prop and back plate together .

The new cowl is a much better fit but you can see how far off it is still compared to the lazer etched cross hairs.

Just about got the engine mounted. Need to make a trip to the Ace and get some SS 1/4-20x3.5" hex head bolts. The 3 inchers I got are not long enough to get a lock nut "backer" on the blind nut. Want to keep the inside of the plane and engine clean so looks like plenty of room for the air filter.

Getting closer....Engine and canister installed. I was wondering how I was going to attach the filter to the carb whilst sitting on the
crapper and it dawned on me ........A flapper for a crapper .
