I have not decided yet. It sure would make it much easier. I was actually a little surprised it was not split considering it is as large as it is.

Next, I bought at the local Wally World a couple of "REALLY" cheap clothes racks for building stands. $6.00 a piece and work awesome. Thanks to Earle (@Pistolera) for this great idea. Shrinking the covering always seems to be so mundane and time consuming but has to be done.

You're Welcome! BTW - keep an eye on the two parallel "spreader" bars at the bottom of the stand. Mine got a bit loose over time so I ran a sheet metal screw thru them at each end.

I'm definitely going to do it in the next 2 or 3 weeks. I'll post a thread here, but if you haven't done it by then I'll give you a heads up... in the event I have to order a new cowling, maybe you won't have to. Haha!!!

We're using very similar electronics setups too.

Day #2 started where I left off last night. I wanted to get most of the electronics placed and "buttoned" down. I think things are pretty well set now. I will wait until the motor is mounted and the rest of the plane is complete before I place the ignition battery. As it stands, I am pretty certain it is going to be up front like most all my other planes. So far, only one has had to have weight added to the tail to balance out. (It just so happens the one that needed weight added to the tail was the only one I ran the rudder servos in the middle of the fuse with pull-pull cable.) The rest seem to come out pretty great for balance and no added weight.

A quick trip to the local D&B provided just the right setup for raising the Smart-Fly up for air circulation and reduced vibration.

Next I placed both rx. packs and strapped them in. Pretty much a perfect fit.

Next I secured the extensions from the tail, (rudder and elevator) to keep it all neat and tidy.

Final step for a little while was putting in the multiplex plugs for the ailerons. It's actually kinda cool how most everything just seems to "fit" into the cut outs and lightening holes of this airframe. Sure is making it go easy and fast.

Awesome plane Stangflier, Unfortunately, I think that one is too big to fit in the back of my Durango. I think your build thread just made up my mind for me. If my Buddy decides not to sell me his H9 260, I'm going to call Herve and order the 30% Extra.

Where did you find those servo extension wraps? I really like the way they clean up the wiring in the fuse.
