PHENOLIC SLEEVES FOR CARBON TUBES

stangflyer

I like 'em "BIG"!
I noticed after my final flight yesterday (Saturday) that the Phenolic sleeve for the stab cf tube on my 260 is showing some age. One side is nearly loose from the inside of the fuse with a crack in it. The other side is appears to be loosing also. I am thinking it may be time to replace the sleeve before flying her again. Only problem...Not sure of where to obtain something like that. Is there anyone out there that has had experience replacing or installing them into fuses? Anyone know where a guy can buy them? How about you Terry? (Terryscustom) I could sure use some direction in this matter.

Thanks everyone....

Its really quite a simple repair/fix but need a pic of the rear fuselage area with the elevators removed.

will be of the right side of the fuse. The crack is at about 9:30 position right against the fuse. I also noticed that at the crack, the sleeve is very thin. On the left side, (next photo) the sleeve (socket) is loose all the way around. Ideas???

The elevator servo wire hole,,, how big is that hole? can you pan out a bit so as to see the servo wire hole in relation to the tube hole,,,
