Even better than the Nelson 40 was the Super Tiger X40 on 70% nitro 18% synthic oil and just a touch of Methanol .A very distinct sound at 22000 rpm and a sweet smell of the Nitro burning . That was when was in my teen s and early twenties i flew these fast machines . Good memories

Well, I put 9 flights on this plane this afternoon. I've done all I can with the gear to keep it from being tailheavy, but it's still tailheavy. I flew it around on low rate the first flight and did some IMAC maneuvers and was thinking how the plane was pretty clumsy. The throttle curve was still ridiculous like at the event. I landed and put an extreme throttle curve which really helped a lot. I went back to staying in high rate throughout every flight and really pushing to fly the plane like I fly the SIM. The more I tried to show the plane who was boss the more the plane flew like the SIM. I started doing some crazy pinwheel type maneuvers I've been doing on the SIM... low... and it was wild, I tell ya'. I took a break after seven flights and had an orange because I knew that even though it was going well, that I was pushing it. I put up two more flights. My impression of this plane is still the same as on the maiden... just a super fun plane that I want to keep flying.
