It was tough to measure since the one I have is glued down in another plane. Go with 6 inches...the American standard.

I asked on of my trainees at work to cut me a piece of tubing roughly six inches....he came back with a piece that may have been 3 and said that's at least 7! I'll keep the rest of the conversation pg but you get where I'm going.
