I play the brownie point system, do above and beyond the honey dos, throw in extras anytime I get chance. I make sure she knows dates I need well in advance. If she even hints she wants something, or wants me to hang/go with her, I get up and move, no questions asked, yeah it may suk to go shop with her, but in the end she lets me go play most anytime I want. If things get in the way, and I decide to go fly when she doesn't want me to, I just blame the DONKEY. It's a balancing act fellas, it also doesn't hurt the fact that she is an amazing, smart, beautiful, sexy azz mama, that LOVES me, and knows I'm much happier if I get to go fly.

Yup. You just described my life/wife to a tee. Keep Mama happy and life is good.

Single guy here so the only woman that gets in the way of my flying is Mother Nature, and she's been a real pain in the a$$ this year!

I guess I can't say much... My lady bought me the hangar 9 beast since she knew I wanted one for a while... She actually has attended 2 iMac contests now in the hottest days I can remember! She is a keeper as well! She even offers to go and help me practice

Ok, life... life can be a mean SOB, taking way too much time and not allowing enough free time to do the things that you love. Like flying. With family commitments, kids sports and lessons, work, weddings, it can be almost overwhelming! So occasionally you need a good excuse to lay on the loved ones to escape to the field and get some flying in.

SO.. let's hear them... how do you guys get out? I've use the few I have a few too many times and am starting to get blocked.... I NEED HELP!

Shouldn't this be titled, "You know you're getting old when you need excuses to go to the flying field?"

I LOVE my family and wouldn't trade my life for anything, but I DO remember the "good ole days"!!

I keep my family and my business ranked higher than flying so I don't fly much. But when I get the time I just simply state that I'm headed the field.
