Pull pull or Push Pull

In many build threads I've come across guys who advocate push pull as the best way for the rudder setup. In the same thread there are guys who swear by the pull pull setup. So which is better? They must have their pros and cons! Though to be honest I thought pull pull was more popular but... maybe not?

i like pull-pull but it can't be too tight if going directly to the servo. like the idea of an intermediate bellcrank taking the strain of the pull from the wires with one or two pushrods between the servo and bellcrank, fwiw, but never actually did one this way

I have done both set ups. With push pull being my favorite. Pull pull is harder to maintain proper cable tension, but lots swear by it. Whatever floats your boat, is what I say.

I'm setting my Compy MX2 up as push pull. Just need to measure up for pushrods. I will either make them out of 4-40 all thread or buy SWB turnbuckles.... I have had the best luck with 4-40 rod and a little CF tubing over it. Plus, it is much less expensive over the turnbuckles.

I prefer the push pull as I feel as if I have a better feel with the rudder and there is essentially no maintenance or worry of the cable breaking somehow. In a lot of cases it depends on balance. If balance isn't a problem I'll always go push pull.

Thanks guys! Now just have to figure out which would suit my 3dhs 106' edge. Would like to try push pull but I believe the edge has a tendency to be tail heavy.
