Resurrecting an Old Favorite - 3DHS 87" Extra SHP

New cowl ring made and ready to epoxy to cowling. Easy to get a perfect spinner-to-cowling alignment when you're gluing in your own ring . After this has cured I'll reinforce a few cracked areas with some glass cloth inside.

Very very nice. This ole girl will have a few bumps and bruises. But it gonna be damn hard to tell.

Thanks! My goal is to make sure she's strong enough (without adding excessive weight) to sustain lots of harrier landings, as that's what I have to do in the back yard.....at least until I can convert a slice of hay field into a decent strip. Next spring! I've got plenty of room to fly this size plane, but not a lot of mowed yard.

Lol...pretty awesome at 1:40. That's how I do it. Fall, flop....flip......FLY! My style of flying. LOL

YES, surprised how many people ask me why I don't hover and harrier about 20 feet higher! Funny looks when you tell them that's the "dead zone" LOL.

He would have flown been able to fly out of that hover if it were higher.

Maybe....maybe not. Bottom line us the plane was fine because it didn't fall very far.

I would not be encouraging people to bring it down on the deck until they are well and truly ready, glad it turned out ok.
