Savox for EF 104 Extra

I'm thinking of using savox servos in an EF extra that I'm building :smile-new: Since I've been using Hitec servos previously, I'd appreciate if you gents could suggest which model savox servos to go for. Btw plz include the throttle servo model# as well. Thanks!

Im using the savox 2231 on elevators and ailerons and 2230 on rudder...push pull setup. Running the savox 1267 on throttle! Very happy with this setup!

I have 1270's in my 104 Extra, 91 Yak and 91 Extra. Have 225 hard flights on all 3 combined. So far I love my Savox servos.

High Voltage, strong and reasonable cost. The combination is hard to beat in my opinion.

I think the throttle is a 1267. Not 100% sure. Brian Emeson is who I get mine from. Good guy.

I just "built" one. Since I had 4 Futaba BLS-157's, I used those on the ailerons, but used a single Savox 2231 on the rudder (push-pull) and a pair of 2270's on the elevators. On my servo torque tester (2S Lipo powered), the -157's pulled ~31 pounds (with a 1 inch arm, that equals ~495 oz-in), the 2270's about 25 pounds and the 2231 about 26 pounds. Don't toss the nice M3 flat socket head screws that come with the Savox that are intended to mount the servo on r/c cars, they work great for the links as well! I used a Hitec 5685 on the throttle, all on 8.5V.

Thank you guys. For the rudder I'll go with the 2230 and throttle 1267. Specs for both the 1270 and 2231 look great so definitely one or the other.

1270's and a 1267 on throttle is an awesome set of servos! Esp if you are running 2S LiPo unregulated.



My 108" Corvus get that same treatment, except for the 2270's on elevator.



I also have a pair of 2231's on the rudder of my MX2. Incredibly responsive! Not a hint of blowback!

The suggestions are great, but if it was my plane I would go with 1270's all over and a 2230 on the rudder. I then would use a 1267SG on the throttle. I think that is the best bang for your buck and maximizes the torque for the monster rudder.
