We have all wondered at times what everyone else is doing to "sexy" up their planes, right? So while I was installing a new canister on my Pilot Edge 540, I thought, hey...we should get a thread going on "blinging" up our planes. To start it off, here is the custom can mount a friend of mine made for my Edge. No, nobody will probably ever see it, but I thought it was kinda cool. I'll bet there are a lot of you out there that have some really cool stuff added to your "rides". So, show us your "bling" guys....

I was finishing a guys plane this last weekend and decided to "bling" up my spinner with some of the paint. I think it turned out pretty darn good actually.

I was too cheap to buy an actual polished aluminum spinner. Instead I just bought a brushed aluminum one and polished it myself. I chucked the whole thing in the lathe at work and cranked the speed up on it. Started with 220, then 400, then 800, then 1000, and finally 1400 grit sandpapers. Once I hit the 800 grit mark everything was wet sanded as well. After that was all said and done I got out the mah wheel aluminum polish and went to town on it. Results were pretty damn good.

Not sure if this counts, but sure do love my B&E Graphix packages I have for my planes! I think it blings it out! Plus oh! Big thanks to Azhar for all of my other bling! (Servo arms, washers, rx holders, ignition holders, straps, fuel dots, etc!)
