Only thing left to do is make the fake spark plugs. This photo shows the engine attached to the mounting fixture which is removed after locating it in the cowl.
Does anyone know of a source to purchase scale rib stitching ? I bought some years ago to use on a Hostetler 35% Pitts S-1-11B but I cannot find the info on where I got it.
Before anyone suggests methods to make it yourself please know that I am well aware but I would prefer to buy it if possible like I did some years ago.
I used a "T" pin and glue to simulate stitching on the Super Cub.
I thought that Dynamic Balsa sold simulated stitching and reinforcing tape but I could not find it there. I think getting the spacing correct is more important than how the bump looks, but that's just my opinion. Note the rib stitching is closer spaced in the prop wash area plus one rib,
2 1/2" and 3 1/2" for the full scale less than 160 mph airplane.
Check the Cub Den for other methods.
